Again
We recently attended our mission organizations (World Venture) conference for all international workers in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. It really was an incredible time for our family to set our focus for the year, be encouraged by other missionaries, and to just learn and soak in knowledge and skills to help us do this thing God has called us to, even better. There was a worship song that we sang a few times that just really struck me - one of the lines repeated the words Again and Again and Again and Again.Initially, I was encouraged to be reminded that we can return to Jesus again and again and again, no matter what. But, as that phrase continued to come to mind even after we returned back to Kandern, it's super encouraging on so many more levels.
As international workers, expats, missionaries - whatever you want to call us, we've certainly felt His presence and know now, on a deeper level than before, that He is with us again and again and again and again. Especially in those moments when the weight of living away from our "home" and missing certain things or people start to try and get the best of us, we can run to Him again and again and again. He has been so so faithful to fill those voids, to fill us with joy, to sustain beyond belief.
For the students we have the privilege of working with here at BFA, God sees them and their very specific needs daily, again and again and again. He's provided this beautiful place for them to grow and develop into the people He's created them to be. How humbled we are to be even a small part of His plan to pour into this super special population.
For the missionaries serving in the dark places of the world, who have found themselves in a position needing to send their kids to BFA - we KNOW that God is at work in such powerful ways in their specific ministries again and again.
When we find ourselves needing more of Him, for whatever reason, He's right there again and again and again and again.
As He's called each of us to LOVE the people around us, He steps up and loves them through us again and again and again and again.
For our own children, as we see them working out their salvation and this calling on our lives, they strive to walk in the light and call out darkness, but its hard in this broken world - they are able to run to Him, to rest in Him, to find strength in Him again and again and again.
For those of you supporting Team Dockrey, your faces and your names and your influence lift us up daily, reminding us of how He uses the whole body to fulfill His purposes. He WILL be exalted again and again and again. You all show us that in such a real way.
His presence in our lives and the way that He is there for us again and again and again could be seen in so many countless ways. I love, love, love that He is revealing those ways to us in very real and tangible ways.
Again and again, God provides opportunities for Lance to lead our community in worship. This is his 3rd year in a row to lead middle school students in their spiritual emphasis week.
Our stairway with bags and crates of groceries that have been unloaded from the car. Again and again, I make multiple trips up these stairs (with a toddler who has fallen asleep on the way home from the grocery store AND again with all of the groceries in hand). BUT super thankful that again and again, God provides (through many of YOU) a way for us to purchase said groceries ;)
Again and again, God provides opportunities for us to engage and build relationships with students. This was a Valentines banquet (yes, in a Santa hat) where we played live action CLUE (in our room, they played Just Dance). And finally, just some super cute pics of the fam in Malta, at our World Venture training conference over the Christmas break:
